New for You
Falls? Not Me! VNA Community Healthcare has received a grant to help seniors reduce their risk of falls. This autumn, group screening sessions with balance and blood pressure testing are being scheduled at senior centers throughout the CT shoreline and greater New Haven county.
People who have fallen multiple times may be screened individually by a registered nurse. Attendees receiving an individual screening may then be referred for a consultation with a pharmacist, home safety evaluation or for balance exercise training. For more information, call the VNA Helpline at 866.474.5230 (toll-free).
