• Keep Your Patients on Their Feet.  VNA Community Healthcare's Fall Prevention program draws upon the recent research of the CT Collaboration for Fall Prevention (CCFP).  According CCFP,  falls are the leading cause of unintentional injury among older adults.   The CDC reports people over age 75 are five times more likely, after a fall, to be admitted to a long term care facility.  
• Developments in CT Conservatorship Law.  Kate McEvoy, JD, from the Agency on Aging of So. Central Connecticut presented a professional update on Connecticut's Conservatorship Law.
