Administrative Functions: Administrative roles require specialized knowledge and training in such areas as health care billing procedures, medical terminology, medical records management and information systems technical support. We also employ people with skills in office software, as well as general accounting and financial experience.

Nursing Staff: VNA Community Healthcare employs nursing staff with a variety of special skills and abilities. Positions range from medical surgical nurses who perform home visits and provide ongoing case management, to health promotion staff who participate in a variety of community activities, to psychiatric nurses, maternal and child health and private duty nurses.

Therapy Services: Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapists are vital members of the home care team who provide critical assistance to our patients. These individuals use their specialized training to promote patient independence. They help patients get back on their feet following injury or illness by using a variety of treatment methods and adaptive equipment.

Support Services: Home Health Aides are caring, trained individuals who work under the direct supervision of our nurses. When clients are recovering from surgery or an illness they assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, oral hygiene, dressing and ambulation. They may also assist with exercise programs, meal preparation and light housekeeping while providing important emotional support to patients and their families.

Pre-Employment Screening
In order to assure that our employees provide the highest quality of care to our patients, we require every applicant to complete the following screening procedures:
  • An employment application, and on-site interview with prospective supervisor.
  • Successful completion of the following pre-employment screening procedures:
    • Drug screening (performed at an agency designated location)
    • Complete background and reference check, including check of motor vehicle, criminal and employment history.
